Great run this morning. It was about 45 degrees (F) outside, which isn't bad for the middle of October. I ran about three miles--slowly increasing the mileage. I stopped a bit earlier than intended. When running there are times when you should listen to your body, and there are times when you should ignore your body. When you are getting back into shape, building a running base, it's especially important to listen to your body to avoid injury. If you begin to feel an ache/throb/pinch, run for 30 seconds longer to see if it works itself out. If not, stop and walk. Later, once you've established a solid base, you can be a little less conservative, particularly in a race situation.
