Claire recently posted about FindYourSpot, a website dedicated to finding your own best place to live. FindYourSpot does this by providing a free online survey that takes into account everything from proximity to an airport to the availability of museums. My top 10 "spots" are as follows:
Charleston, South Carolina
Provo-Orem, Utah
Greenville, South Carolina
Fort Collins, Colorado
Hickory, North Carolina
Gainesville, Florida
Asheville, North Carolina
Chattanooga, Tennessee
Johnson City-Kingsport, Tennessee
Colorado Springs, Colorado
It's interesting that 5 of the places produced by the survey are places that I've actually lived in or near. Hmm... Not sure what that means.
I've often pulled out the atlas with my wife and asked her, "If you could live anywhere in the U.S. where would it be." She always replies that she does not have a particular preference. While I'm glad she is so flexible, with this survey I will finally be able to pin her down to a location.
Thanks Claire--fun survey.
P.S. - When I take surveys like this I use a dummy email address (e.g. 432rlkjsdaf23f4@hotmail.com).

Glad you liked the Find Your Spot survey, Ryan. Maybe Kristen can give me some lessons on being satisfied with living anywhere....
Oh and I really enjoy your "cool tools" area there to the left; very helpful tips.
Hope you liked "Eats, Shoots & Leaves," it's one of my all-time favorites.
Great blog, keep it up!
